Lourdes souvenirs: rosaries, candles and holy water bottles for shops and pilgrim groups
Pilgrims leaving Lourdes want something that could only come from there. We design that something for shops at the shrine and for the groups who travel to it: products drawn from the place, made in small runs in the EU.
About Lourdes
Lourdes, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, is where Bernadette Soubirous reported eighteen apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1858. Its Grotto of Massabielle, the spring water, the candlelight procession and the care of sick pilgrims make it one of the most visited Marian shrines in the world, with dioceses and national pilgrimages booked months ahead.
The town has hundreds of religious shops, and the classic Lourdes items — water bottles shaped like the Virgin, candles, rosaries, medals — are produced in huge runs. What is missing is product made for a specific group: a diocesan pilgrimage bag, a scarf in the colours of a national pilgrimage, a medal with the year of the hospitalité.
What pilgrims take home from Lourdes
Motifs we work into the designs:
- the Grotto of Massabielle
- the Immaculate Conception statue with blue sash
- the Basilica of the Rosary and the Upper Basilica
- the candlelight procession
- Bernadette Soubirous

Season and order dates
April to October; 11 February (feast of Our Lady of Lourdes) and the large national and diocesan pilgrimages of summer.
Order at least 2–3 weeks before the date you need the goods, plus a week for delivery; pilgrim kits take 10–15 working days.
What to respect
The Sanctuary of Lourdes protects its own name and visual identity on official goods; we design generic Lourdes motifs and never copy the sanctuary's logo. Water bottles must be clearly marked as containers, not as containing a remedy.
Who orders
Religious shops in Lourdes, diocesan pilgrimage services and hospitalités, pilgrimage agencies in France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Poland and Germany.
Frequently asked questions
Can you make products only for our shrine?
Yes. Every design is drawn for one place and one client. If you are the shrine’s own shop, we can keep the artwork exclusive to you.
What is the minimum order for Lourdes?
From 50–100 pieces per design for most products made in the EU, pilgrim kits from 30–50 sets. Larger runs from 1000 pieces can be produced with our Asian partners at a lower unit price.
Can we use the official logo of the shrine?
Only if you hold the rights or the shrine gives written permission. Otherwise we design with the architecture, the place name and traditional symbols, which need no licence.
How long does it take?
Free mock-ups in 2–5 working days, a sample in 7–10 days if you want one, then 2–3 weeks of production in the EU plus delivery.
