About Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompei
The Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei was founded by Blessed Bartolo Longo in the late 19th century, a short walk from the ruins of ancient Pompeii. The Supplica, the solemn prayer to Our Lady of Pompei, is recited on 8 May and the first Sunday of October.
